Our 50th is just around the corner in August!! I always feel we are an Inglewood High School Family not just Classmates.  When I tell friends about how close our High School class is, they are always envious.  Come and celebrate our 50th year with great Music, Food, and Lifelong Friendships. It will be the event of the Year with our very own Six Packs Band performing all the songs of the 60's!!
See you there for a Magical Week end.

Hello all,

I actually graduated in 1970 because I go shot in the stomach in Feburary 1969 and was out for the rest of the year. The majority of my friends graduate in 1969 and it was hard to watch from the bleachers while all my classmates got their diplomas and I had to go another year.
I went to El Camino College and studied Journalism, interviewed Jane Fonda for the"Warwhoop." I ended up selling Chevy Parts for "Harry Mann Chevrolet" in South Central L.A., commuting from Hermosa beach. I got a job offer at Prolo Chevrolet in Santa Cruz CA., moved here in 1975 and have been here ever since. I love the surf spots and redwoods and still ride waves going past 45 years not. I live 1/4 mile from my favorite spot and am a member of the Capitola Surf Club. (Were just a bunch of old "Barnies" that surf and talk about the good old days over morning coffee. I was News Director for Public Radio KUSP, returned to college for my journalism degree, but then started working my way uo in the propane industry, "King of the Hill," that was me as I managed a retail plant for 15 years. My health blew a gasket and I am now on disablility, re-married, one boy in the Navy, currently. My stepdaugter is an honors student at Carnigie Melon. My health problems will cause memory problems so please don't think I'm stuck up, I'm a little messd up. Look foreward to seeing you all.

Thank you so much for all your efforts to make our Reunion so special.  The venue was awesome and perfect for our group.  The BBQ Dinner was amazing and of course the Six Packs made it so fun.  Dave and I had a blast catching up with old friends and dancing the night away.  Please keep us posted for future Class Events.  Thanks again for the wonderful time.

Well, I guess the statute of limitations has run,  so look in the 1968 yearbook in the pictures for the class of 1969 and you will find the picture of Zo Elliott, hair parted and wearing his glasses upside down.  Zo had a class ID card, class schedule, but never existed.   The prank that was pulled off with the help of several classmates in Office Services, was much saught after, but never discovered.     Hope everyone have a good time   Zo Elliott aka Ron Dial

Sorry I can't be there this time around. Too many irons in the fire. Our daughter is heading back to Boston for her final year in college and I am volunteering as a docent and yacht crew member at the Thunderbird Lodge on Lake Tahoe.  In my spare time I'm restoring a '56 Thunderbird. Looks a little bit like the one Steve Nordeen had back in the day. Less race car and more classic but, still red! Any car guys coming up for Hot August Nights car show in Reno should feel free to contact me. Have a great reunion!

Hi All!  Am really looking foward to seeing you at the Reunion Events.  It has been quite an adventure contacting classmates, and seeing where people have landed, and the adventures they have all had.  If you know of someone who would like to come, or think they should come, let them know about our website and get them to sign up!  It will be such a fun event!....I posted a photo of my husband and I somewhere on this site (I am looking for it!).  I live in Henderson, Nevada with my husband (24 years), and 2 sons in college.  I work at a private school, as Administrative Asst. to the Elementary School and really enjoy being with the kids and working with fabulous teachers.  Hope you will make the effort to get to one of our events the weekend of August 2nd.  Take Care.  Christine Jones Adsit

Probably won't be able to make this reunion.  Hubby of 35 years is having health problems, so it doesn't look possible right now.  But I'll sure be thinking of everyone.  I'll keep looking on here to read the comments and have a smile or two.

My best to everyone!

Greetings Fellow Sentinels (Boo Monarchs); Just found out about the reunion a few days again from Joe Dupuis. Sorry I won't be able to make it. We have a big birthday gathering (can't say party when your 58) planned for my wife's 55th. Have been married for 33 years, 1 son who played professional baseball with the Baltimore Orioles and 1 daughter who played volleyball at Oregon State and now teaches 3rd grade. Grandfather of 4 (3 are triplets). Retired from LAPD in '97 and now I write policy manuals for law enforcement. Strange how so many have ties to law enforcement. Have a GREAT "gathering" and hope to hear from you guys.

Hi all....wow, 40 years later, where did the time go? Didn't hear about the reunion till Steve May called me this week. Will try to make it but possibly can't. I retired from Inglewood Police Dep't in Dec of 2004 after 28 years. Talk about a changed city !!  Been married to Irene for the past 28 years (she graduated from Hawthorne in 71) and have 3 sons. One is a policeman in Inglewood, one is a deputy in Riverside County and one in medical field in Seattle. We are living in Murrieta, Ca (next to Temecula). My police career in Inglewood took its toll but at least we are still here to talk about it. If we dont make it, u all have a great time and if u r close, contact me. Later

Hope to find you all well and doing good. Living in Temecula for the past 20 years and really have not stayed intouch with anyone.

Funny what paths and directions your life takes over the years. Fighting in Naum, getting married, having children, and working. Friends may come and go but the memories are for life.

Hi, I would have graduated in 1967 if I hadn't got myself preggers (with a little help from Bill Luster).  I keep in contact with Julie (Leachman) Maak, and thru John Miller whom married my sister Sherrie Ferguson Miller I often hear of of even see some of the "older" (LOL like saying that) guys, like Mike McIntyre, Chuck M. the Mascolas whom are sort of relatives.  Of course , my cousins Jody Lilly and Dena. Oh and let us not forget Bob Hughes.  I have gone to a few of my sisters reunions, none of my own though.
I am sad to say Sherrie died June 7th and Bill Luster died November of 06. I can't even tell you how much I miss my sister.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and reminiscing. Recently i picked my son up at LAX and took him by IHS and to breakfast at the former "Sheri's" coffee shop, now Mr. G's (near IHS at LaBrea and Manchester). His comment "Whoa, Dad this is dangerous." I guess some things change after 40 years.

Wow, I can't believe it's been 40 years, I think someone has made a mistake !!!  I have not attended 1 of our reunions, was hoping to make this one, however I am expecting my 1st grandchild during that time, so I don't know.   I lived in Orange County for a long time and I am now living in Northern California.  I have been married 26 years and have 2 sons, 1 is a policeman and the other a firefighter.  My husband is a helicopter pilot.   I also have a lab "Tucker" - Hope to see everyone soon !!!!

Was happy when I got the email notification and shared it with family. Had been checking with Classmates.com. I have not been to a IHS reunion. I live in South Orange County since 1996. Thanks to those of you who are putting this together. Cool idea for the Diner and the mixer on Friday. Looking forward to this. Forty years - a lifetime ago, if I new then what I know now!

Are you sure it has been 40 years because I don't feel that old......? Might look that old though! Looking forward to attending. Spent most of my years after IHS in Orange Co., San Luis Obispo and now Northern Nevada.
See ya there!

"Life is what happens to you while you're making other plans" I think John Lennon said this.  Difficult to plan ahead these days but will try to make it to the reunion. (Missed the 30th.)  Have been married for 18 years, living in beautiful San Clemente for 13 years.  No kids, just cats and dogs that we treat like kids. Husband works mostly in Reno now so we also have a home there.  My best to all.

My husband and I will be out of the country the week of the reunion so won't be able to come.  If I was able, I would have been there.  I hope everyone has a great time and I look forward to hearing how it all turns out.  Have fun!

1968 - What a strange year. I'm game to see who might show up to this thing. I've lived in Sonoma County for over 30 years, working as an elementary school principal. Happily married, still crazy about rock and roll, blues, good books, cooking, good wine and world events. This ought to be some kind of fun. Don't you think? Wonder who will show up?

Love,
Juliana

Can't wait to see everyone! Except for 3 years in Chicago I've been living in Half Moon Bay or the surrounding Santa Cruz Mountains since 78. Ah, back to LA and an ocean that doesn't need a wetsuit!!!

Looking forward to our reunion and visiting with everyone.  Wouldn't miss it.  I have been fortunate to attend all of the previous reunions.

We will be coming down from the SF Bay Area, where I have called home for more than 20 years.   I have a 23 year old daughter and 17 year old son.

If I only knew then what I know now!

The last reunion I went to was the 20th... I will be there for the 40th... Wow. Where did the time go? Looking at the photo album, I have to say that we as a class are looking pretty good! Much younger looking than the patients I see in the ER who are our age! Must be the California sun???
